Mel Gibson

Open Letter from Ciro Lomonte to Mel Gibson
“A new movie”

Saturday 9 February 2019,

Dear Mel Gibson,
I appreciate so much your The Patriot, Braveheart, Apocalypto. That's why I 'm sure you'd be the best director to make a film about Sicilian Vesper, the famous revolt of 1282. It could be a great work of art and a powerful service to truth.
May I hope so?
We live in a wonderful Island transformed in a colony by Italian State since 1860. Before that date we were proud of our skills, we were conscious of our wonderful history, we were owner of our own destiny. Now we are slave, in a subtle way. Italian schools teach our children they have got mafia blood and DNA. That's not true, there was no mafia in Sicily before 1860. We need someone that help us to study history without lies.
Best regards.
