Letter to Rebecca Miller

Open letter from Frederick D. JAMES to Rebecca Miller
“An Incident at Vichy”

24 May 2022,

Dear Mrs Miller,
I am an Anglo-French retired professor of English and American literature, and I am planning to translate one work of your father which, as far as I know, has not to this day been published in French. This play is 'An Incident at Vichy', a play that I most appreciate and that I think deserves a translation, especially to-day. But before starting out anything, I believe it is best to ask your permission of course, and the authorization of your agents. Do you think you could help me in these circumstances? I should be most grateful to you.
Yours Sincerely
Frederick Daniel JAMES
