About Harley Bird
Actress and voice-over artist Harley Bird was born in 2001.
Harley is represented by children’s talent agency Alphabet Kidz. After only being signed to the agency a month, she landed the role of Peppa in children’s animated series Peppa Pig at age 6.
Harley has voiced the character of Peppa since 2009 for seasons 3 and 4 of the series.
Harley has also lent her voice to the Peppa Pig Children in Need song, voice recordings for Peppa Pig toys, video games and Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park in Hampshire.
Harley has made a number of TV and radio appearances, including presenting a behind the scenes feature on CBBC’s Newsround and being interviewed in character as Peppa on BBC Radio One’s The Chris Moyles Show.
In 2009 Harley also starred as “Daisy” in “Blueberry”, a short film which won the Audience Award at the San Jose Film Festival.
In 2011, Harley became the youngest BAFTA winner ever as she was awarded the “Performer” award at the Children’s BAFTAs for her voice-artist work as Peppa Pig.
Harley is currently starring as Piper alongside Saoirse Ronan in How I Live Now, a film due to be released in 2013, directed by Kevin Macdonald.
Harley is currently in year 7 at Pipers Corner School, which she has been at since she was seven. In an interview she stated that she has a friend called Martha at school.
