“Milica guceva birthday”

Buongiorno Paolo Sorrentino,

On the 9th of August is my sister Milica birthday. She will be 30. And I am thinking about a special gift for her. A book about performing arts or a trip or maybe a photoshoot experience? Let us be honest: I know, she knows, my parents and every single person who know Milica know what she really wants: to act on a screen.
Since she was a child, in her 2 years old, Milica was caught by a sense of euphory as soon a note of music was coming from the radio, starting to dance gracefully and entertaining all the people around her.
When was time for school plays in Macedonia, where she was born, her performance let all the viewers astonished: “This girl is unborn talent” they used to say.
Then Milica moved to Italy with her family. It was a big challenge for all her family: language barriers, long working hours, exploitation, financial issues. Despite all, her parents put all their efforts to allow her take part in ballet class and acting.
Milica is faithful to her passion, she completed a musical Academy in Torino and now she is studying Performing Art in the UK.
It is not easy for me sometimes, cannot imagine how frustrating can be for her when I see she is working so hard, taking every job opportunity to pay her rent and bills to follow her dream and still not seeing the fruits of her efforts.
Once my dad told her: “Milica, stop following a dream that is not for us, we are poor, we can’t compete with others that started from a different condition.” Milica is tenacious, Milica is hard working, Milica loves to perform for others, Milica is a dreamer.

But now, I, more even than she, want this dream come reality, I wish someone give a look at her, and see the beauty of this lady, the talent and the passion that burns inside her that sometimes hurt but makes her alive.
